Savon de Marseille is a soap that has been produced in Marseille, France for over 500 years and it is still made using the traditional uniques methods and natural ingredients. There are two methods, one using palm oil and the other olive oil. This white soap contains palm oil and is great for household cleaning and personal care.
How do I use it?
Dissolve 20g of flakes with 500ml of hot water to make a liquid (jelly like consistency) and decant into an airtight container. Use as a laundry liquid or as an all purpose cleaner.
Where can I use this around my home?
- remove stains from clothing, carpets and upholstery
- dissolve in water to make surface and floor cleaner, adding essential oils
- make your own laundry liquid (approx 75 washes per 150g bag)
- use as a dishwashing liquid
- even use as a hand and body soap, extremely good for those with sensitive skin or eczema
- spray on some indoor plants to get rid of aphids
