Savon de Marseille is a soap that has been produced in Marseille, France for over 500 years and it is still made using the traditional uniques methods and natural ingredients. There are two methods, one using vegetable and palm oil and the other olive oil. These soaps containing olive, vegetable and sustainable palm oil (certified from RSPO) are great for household cleaning and personal care.
Where can I use this around my home?
- remove stains from clothing, carpets and upholstery
- make your own laundry powder (see our laundry powder kit)
- grate and dissolve in water to make laundry liquid, surface and floor cleaner
- use as a dish washing block
- even use as a hand and body soap, extremely good for those with sensitive skin or eczema
- use in shower as a solid shampoo or shaving soap
- to clean paint brushes (that’s the reason for the dimples on the block)
- to clean your iron plate
- as a jewellery cleaner
- make a solution to spray onto plants as an insect repellent
